The mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, and the Director of Public Works and Planning, José Ballesta, this morning signed an agreement for the construction of 13 houses of public promotion through the Institute for Housing and Land in the Region of Murcia (IVS) in the Barrio de San José de Puerto de Mazarrón whose cost amounts to 1,505,345 euros.
This performance, achieved by the municipality of Mazarrón, will make a major investment by the Autonomous Community of Murcia Region through the Ministry of Public Works and Planning.
The plot on which they will build the new housing is located in Playasol I, of Puerto de Mazarrón, and occupies an area of 1,356 square meters.
The project will consist of two parallel groups of six and seven duplex houses, townhouses, with a common basement parking and storage.
The buildings occupy an entire city block and will consist of four, three and two bedrooms.
To continue this policy of social infrastructure is planned execution of a second phase of social housing in another solar assigned by the City Council which will complete the relocation of all families affected by the regeneration project in the neighborhood of San Jose.
The land on which the Consistory will build the houses is the same in which over 30 years have been installed manufactured homes that were built in the 70's in a provisional time.
So that these families have to be relocated for a little over a year to an area near where they are now.
