The ceremony also involved the Director of the Center for Early Intervention, Salvador Sanchez, the Director of the Public School Infanta Leonor, Antonio Gallego, Head of Studies of the center, Rafael Navarro, and the teacher of the Early Childhood Center, Jose Cotes .
In this pilot initiative, which has been highly successful, have participated over two hundred children from Public School Infanta Leonor, aged between 3 and 5 years.
Yolanda Vivancos assured during the meeting with the media, that this program should continue throughout the next school year and will be extended to schools that request.
This program has been detected at an early stage abnormalities and / or delayed motor development, coupled with other factors that may affect the learning of reading and writing, as well as appropriate guidance to tutors to work and addressing the needs of the framework school.
This initiative has had an uninterrupted period of six months, from November 2008 to May this year, with different phases such as detection, data analysis guidance to the tutors, and monitoring and evaluation.
The Department of Social Policy has made a positive evaluation of this program, both for the guardians of children to the school management as they have achieved the objectives, strengthening the connection between students and faculty.
