This morning the mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, and the Councillor for Social Policy, Yolanda Vivancos, presented the 2009 Summer School for a small municipality.
In the event, held at the Plenary Hall of the Town Hall, also attended by President of the Association of Housewives, Consumers and Users Alamazarrón, Ana Maria Martinez, and a representative of the Association 'El Molino' which will develop activities.
Two hundred children aged between 4 and 12 years will benefit from these summer schools, which are free and will be given the months of July and August from Monday to Friday, from 10:00 am to 14: 00 hours.
In Mazarrón be developed at the Center for Integration and Participation in Canada and Puerto de Mazarrón in the Bay Public School.
School support, theater, dance, song, gymkhana, crafts, recycling, sports, dance, and excursions are just some of the activities that will stimulate the leisure of children during their summer holidays.
The main objective of the summer schools is to provide small educational activities, recreational and sports during the holiday period, and thus combine work and family life.
These courses are organized by the Association of Housewives, Consumers and Users Almazarron and the Association of Housewives, Consumers and Users El Faro in collaboration with the town of Mazarron, through the Department of Social Policy.
These activities are made possible by a grant of 32,000 euros, provided by the Consistory Mazarron, for the integration of immigrants shared in equal amounts from individual municipal associations.
