The XXVI edition of the Short Story Competition 'Villa de Mazarrón' Antonio del Olmo Segado its peak held next Friday, July 31, with awards of this edition in which 1308 works have been presented.
As most significant data of this year we review the high quality of the papers presented and their origin, which is divided between Spain and the Spanish-speaking countries.
The Jury has already selected the twelve finalists of the contest, among which will be released first prize and second prize € 3,600, with 2,400 euros, both winners will also get a commemorative plaque.
Cultural activities to mark the Short Story Competition XXVI Villa de Mazarrón - Antonio del Olmo Mowing will begin on Friday, July 24 at 22:00 hours with the group's musical concert "Hobbies" in the Social Club in the Marina, with the invaluable assistance of the Savings Bank of the Mediterranean.
The programming will continue on Thursday, July 30 at 22:00
with the conference "History, history, history" that will be borne by the famous writer Zoé Valdés at Hotel Playagrande de Mazarrón.
Short Story Competition 'Villa de Mazarrón' Antonio del Olmo Mowing is an event that, at present, is fully integrated and consolidated within the cultural landscape within and outside the district, endowed with a long history with many publications and the presence of personalities the world of letters.
