The mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, next to the Director General of Agricultural Modernization and Training, Ángel María Lidón, and the Councillor for Agriculture and Rural Development, Luisa Heredia, have recently established several events relating to world agriculture.
The event, held at the Plenary Hall of the Town Hall has been initiated with the presentation of the book 'Absolute tomato moth Tuta in the Region of Murcia.
Bases for control 'prepared by the Specialist Plant Health Service in the Region of Murcia, Antonio Montserrat, who also attended the ceremony.
This book unveils the most significant aspects of the Absolute Tuta across the regional landscape, and the measures to be carried out by farmers to alleviate it.
Later, Francisco Blaya and Luisa María Heredia have handed diplomas to about forty participants from two courses linked to the Department of Agriculture and the Animal Welfare and the Biological and Technological Control of Pests of Tomatoes.
The agricultural training highlights the interest of the Department of Agriculture to bring industry professionals all means to ensure their progression as well as improved economic performance of their farms.
The event culminated with a talk on the issue of information designed especially tomato all farmers of the municipality, as well as people interested in the subject, in which the general trend has been dealing with this issue.
