The Town Council of Mazarron, through its Department of Infrastructure and Planning, informing citizens about the stoppage of the works that are currently running in Puerto de Mazarrón, for the Plan E.
The interruption of the works will take place between 15 July and 15 August with the aim of facilitating the transit of the many people that the summer tourist season in Puerto de Mazarrón chosen as a summer resort, much of the rest of the municipality as Region or Country.
Mazarrón population now exceeds 36,000 registered inhabitants, according to the Statistics Department of the City Council, of which about 11,000 people have chosen the town of Mazarrón to live and a number have chosen near Puerto de Mazarrón.
The remaining inhabitants are spread over the remaining 13 districts that comprise the municipality.
And is the town of Puerto de Mazarron which hosts most of the large number of people who choose the town as a holiday destination, so that the municipality's population is higher in the summer months some 150,000 inhabitants, according to data estimated by the increase in urban solid waste collection.
The decision to halt the works for a month facilitate the passage of vehicles and persons in the areas where they can find work as Doctor Mecca Avenue, Coopers Street and Avenida Tierno Galván and improve tourist and commercial activity.
It should be noted that these works, to be integrated into the Plan E must complete before the end of the year and should be done in a short space of time, so that the Consistory had to start before the beginning of summer.
