The Director General of Trade and Crafts, Julio José Lorenzo, opens tomorrow, with the mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya (at 20:00 hours in the Avenida Costa Calida, Puerto de Mazarrón) the 'II and Crafts Trade Show' from municipality with the participation of 20 artisans and will run until the 26th July, with business hours from 20:00 hours to 00:00 hours.
This twenty artisans displayed publicly and various miscellaneous items crafts, such as natural cosmetics, objects made of paper and paperboard, metal art, silver pieces, pottery and ceramics, cribs, rugs, costumes, glassware, toys leather goods, among others.
Similarly, the exhibition includes a selection of handmade products of artisans provide food to confectioners, beekeepers and the pork-butchers.
This initiative is part of the measures included in the Trade Promotion Plan 2008-201, sponsored by the Ministry of Universities, Business and Research, to enhance the economics of retail and hotel in Puerto de Mazarrón, the be an event that raises the attraction of many visitors to the site in full holiday season.
Also, the Ministry, in collaboration with the City, aims to support, promote and publicize the rich tradition of craftsmanship in the region and enhance its commercial activity.
Thus, both institutions provide the craftsmen the tools to achieve greater competitiveness, meet the tastes of the market and access to a mass audience, fulfilling the objectives outlined in the Strategic Plan of the Region of Murcia.
