The Department of Infrastructure and Planning of the City of Mazarrón is undertaking renovation and improvement of drainage Bay Channel Management in Puerto de Mazarrón.
The novelty of these actions, taken in the Management of Bahia, is that the municipality will have its first meters of bicycle paths, namely, 550 from the beach and La Casona de la Isla
The works involve the channeling of a section of the canal about 450 meters by concrete base and margins of rubble.
Also, the action also includes the paving of 6,000 square meters with cobblestone, and paving the road with asphalt annexes.
It is significant evidence pointing as improving drainage in the area will be viable through the implementation of a pump.
The area will also undergo major changes which will increase the welfare of citizens and tourists with the installation of 25 streetlights 10 m high with a double arm, lights of 250 watts and with the planting of 50 trees.
The mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, and Councillor for Infrastructure and Planning, José Antonio Román, have overseen the development of the works which will significantly improve the transit of its users.
The work, requested by the Consistory Mazarrón and implemented by the Autonomous Community of Murcia, are valued at a total of 1,900,000 euros.
