Bernat Soria, Minister of Health between July 2007 and April 2009, involved tomorrow in the course of the Universidad Internacional del Mar "Hematopoietic transplantation and cell therapy, restorative medicine," which has been held in the town of Mazarrón from Monday 13 July.

The scientist will speak on "Cell therapy in diabetes mellitus and its complications."

Soria is Professor of Physiology at the University Pablo de Olavide and director of the Andalusian Center for Molecular Biology and Regenerative Medicine (CABIMER) from Sevilla, and is considered one of the world's leading experts in stem cell research.

He holds the prestigious Prix Galien for Best Research Work.
