The Center for Elder Day of Puerto de Mazarron has a new lab for its users, who inaugurated this morning the Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana.
The new units, consisting of a computer room and therapy room, involves an investment of EUR 213,774 and cover an area of 115 square footage in an enlarged area of the existing building.
The Day Centre, which opened in 1992, has a total of 5,489 members aged between 60 and 80 years and it is providing services day center and day-stay service which meets to an average of 20 users.
For his part, Minister Bascuñana welcomed the extension work carried out because, he said, "will offer a new service allowing users of this facility, thereby increasing the range of activities undertaken and have main goal of improving the quality of life, promote the ability to share and strengthen relationships. "
Concerning the quality of day stays, the owner of Social Policy said that is staffed highly qualified social health, which assists the user dozen daily individualized attention that nurtures their well-being.
The center of Puerto de Mazarrón Day divides its activities into different areas such as socio-health, cultural, educational, occupational, sports, cultural coexistence and promotion, so that users can expect a wide range of programs occupy their leisure time and skilled assistance when needed.
