Recently, the Chapel Island celebrated the Feast of the Assumption of the Virgin in which many citizens of the municipality of Mazarrón and holidaymakers, especially urbanization Bay and The Island wanted to be present in the events organized in Picture .
On Friday, August 15 about nine o'clock in the evening began the Mass in honor of the Virgin and was followed by the procession that started from the Chapel Island and walked several streets in the urban Bay.
Throughout the course the participants were accompanied by a band of drums and horns.
The event was wrapped, representing the council, which each year working with a financial contribution to the realization of acts by the Councillor of the Presidency, Alicia Jiménez, the Councillor for Fiestas, Luisa María Heredia, and the Town Planning Councillor, Jose Antonio Román.
