This morning the mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, together with the Councillor for Social Policy, Yolanda Vivancos, and Director of the Center for Senior Mazarrón, Miguel Angel Rodríguez, have closed down the activities developed in the center throughout the summer.
This summer program, the Day Centre Mazarrón has continued its activities on an ongoing basis which has allowed this group to enjoy a greater range of restaurant service, hairdressing and podiatry.
Programming that have prevailed in cultural and sports activities interspersed with social dynamics characteristic of this space for the elderly.
Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, September 15, will be open enrollment period in the activities planned for 2009/2010.
Fitness for seniors, arts and crafts, memory training, volunteer training, embroidery workshop experience, ballroom dancing classes, modern, flamenco dancers, paso doble, tango, and web browsing, travel shops, reading, relaxation , drama and self-help form some of the thirty activities planned for the new course.
They also will be room for other intergenerational activities for grandparents and grandchildren as Cineabu and Ludonietos of the workshop in support of literacy and laughter therapy.
Municipal Activities Senior Center, which will start on October 1, are aimed at the thousand active members are there in this space, and can also access the same users who wish to participate in intergenerational activities.
