To celebrate the festivities in honor of the Immaculate Conception, patroness of Mazarrón, 2009, the City calls the 'III Poster Contest for the Feast of the Immaculate 2009', according to the following RULES:
1 .- The competition is open all persons who wish, irrespective of their nationality, residing in the town of Mazarrón.
2 .- The number of posters to be submitted by each author shall not exceed two.
The works submitted must not have been awarded in other contests.
The contestant must be an author and owner.
3 .- The posters should include the following: 'MAZARRÓN - PURÃSIMA FAIRS - 2 to December 8, 2009'
4 .- The technique and colors to be used is left to the discretion of the author, should be the basic theme of the poster images, landscapes, characters, motives or actions representative of the municipality.
5 .- The format of the poster should be on the rigid frame, no moldings and vertical.
The exterior size should be 50x70 cm., Being useful stain 48x68 cm.
6 .- The deadline for submission of works opened at the time of publication of these bases (October 5, 2009) and will end on October 30, 2009, at 14:00
7 .- The posters may be submitted, from 12:00 am to 14:00 pm, in the municipality of Mazarrón in the council of Events, or send to: City of Mazarron Fiestas Department, Town Hall Square, No. 8, 30,870 of Mazarrón (Murcia).
They will not appear neither the name nor the author's signature and must be entered on the back the title of the work.
That title or slogan will appear in a sealed envelope, inside which contain the name, address and telephone number of the author.
Entries must be submitted properly packaged and in perfect condition.
Identifying them on the back, with full name and a contact number of the author.
The council of the municipality of Mazarron Fiestas not responsible for any damage that may accidentally occur.
8 .- With the posters submitted, the municipality of Mazarrón is reserved the possibility of public exposure it deems appropriate.
9 .- The winning poster will become the property of the municipality of Mazarrón, which reserves all reproduction rights.
10 .- A single prize of 600.00 euros which will be presented during the poster presentation of the chosen media.
11 .- The jury will consist of the mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya Blaya, the Councillor for Fiestas, Luisa Pérez Heredia, including at least three local people to be appointed by the municipality of Mazarrón.
The jury will meet and issue a decision on November 4, 2009, reported later to all participants.
The jury's decisions are final and may declare the contest when, in the opinion of the jury, not correctly reflect the theme and quality.
In this case the municipality of Mazarrón reserves the right to decide what will be the Patron Saints Poster 2009.
12 .- The posters submitted will be displayed on the website of the municipality of Mazarrón.
People living in Mazarrón may assess the posters presented using a rating scale of 1 to 5, five more like posters.
This voting system 'on line' can be made from 30 October to 3 November 2009, at 14:00 hours and will have a count of 30% of the total.
These scores can be sent by email: festejos@mazarron.es.
It allowed one vote per email account, indicating the name and mailing address of the sender Mazarron where you live.
13 .- Taking part in this contest will represent the total acceptance of these rules.
14 .- The posters submitted and not selected will be available from the authors on 10 December 2009, and may be removed or donated to the council of Events for other publications.
