The regional government has agreed in the meeting of the Governing Council on Friday to allocate a total of 4,082,716 euros to hire the improvement works of Francisco Martínez Muñoz promenades and Rihuete in the town of Puerto de Mazarrón.
The project, common to the two trips, since they are located one after the other, provides for the reorganization of the section that now serves as a promenade for pedestrians and traffic.
Thus, the project aims to reconcile the pedestrian and motor vehicles and improve the distribution of space, which will give the ride of a new cycle.
The performance includes new landscaped and recreational areas on the seafront, in addition to improving access to car parking areas in Rihuete Avenue.
The mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, has had several meetings with the Merchants Association Paseo del Puerto, in order to implement the project by the hand of the needs of merchants and restaurateurs, based on these two levels of the ground that Walk is the main engine of the social life of Puerto de Mazarrón.
With these works, the Autonomous Community, through the Ministry of Public Works and the City Mazarron seek to combine the accessibility and functionality of this urban space with new alternatives to enjoy the scenery and the coast Mazarron for citizens of the municipality and throughout the Region, as well as tourists visiting the town regularly.
