The body of the Guardia Civil de Mazarrón celebrated her big day yesterday, celebrating the name day of their patron saint, the Virgen del Pilar.
The event, attended by all members of the Civil Guard serving in Mazarrón, was wrapped by the Councillor for Public Safety of the City of Mazarrón, Segundo Muñoz, and Councilman Services Ardil Salvador, as well as chief opposition in the Consistory, Francisco García.
The ceremony in honor of the Virgen del Pilar, patron saint of the Civil Guard, the day of National Day was celebrated in the Church of San José de Puerto de Mazarrón.
Civil Guard, known popularly as the "Meritorious" is the first public security force created in Spain and is part of the Security Forces of the State, whose mission is to protect the free exercise of the rights and freedoms of Spanish, as well as ensure the safety of all citizens.
