The municipality of Mazarrón held today, November 17, the Day of the Miracle of the Virgin with a Mass at the Shrine of the Immaculate, a tradition that goes back 424 years.
The mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, made for the seventh consecutive year in office of Mayor-President, reading the vote to the Immaculate, Patroness of the municipality of Mazarrón.
In this religious act, the Mayor has renewed its vow to the Virgin, addressing the council that governed the town of Mazarrón then to show the flag made in accordance with mandates of Philip II.
Francisco Blaya has given to the Virgin the baton, as it has done since 2003, which stands to be Mayor during the holiday Bolnuevo and the rest of the year.
In a ceremony in which the mayor was accompanied by the government team as well as faithful to the appointment Mazarron also have been present at the event so symbolic.
