The Director General of Transport and Ports Ministry of Public Works and Planning, Carmen Sandoval, and the mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, accompanied by the larger pattern of the Fishermen's Association of the municipality, today visited the ship works workshop that the Ministry is running on the port to improve the working conditions of the town sinners.
The works of the new facility will benefit more than 200 workers and will also drive the development of fisheries in the municipality.

The works have a budget in excess of 280,000 euros and involve the construction of a ship metal workshop which will have a mezzanine.

A clean and sustainable port
The director general said that the Ministry, through the Directorate General for Transport and Ports, will install a ecopunto in the fishing port of Mazarrón, "in order to protect the coastline of the municipality through responsible management of waste in this area high marine activity. "
