Mazarrón Occupational Center Starts 2010 with a new project to serve people of the municipality that have a severe disability.
The benefit of this new service will also greatly benefit existing users of the occupational center, who can enjoy greater attention.
The main purpose, which hosts this project, which runs until June this year, is to cover the assistance to persons with disabilities who require specialized intervention and parallel workshops with pre-work activities and scheduling activities for applicants with severe disabilities by providing the possibility of being integrated into activities by all users of the Centre and maximum respect for their personal characteristics.
For this new work, the Occupational Center Expands Mazarrón template with an occupational therapist, also a physiotherapist, and an educational technician, also auxiliary therapies.
This project will also have occupational center workers, including two supervisors and an assistant to meet the demands of users through workshops, support and group therapy.
The objectives of this project are: define the user purchases and plan their maintenance schedule for improvement of their acquisitions as well as the possibility of introducing new treatments provide physiotherapy, planning and establishing programs to improve daily living activities and personal autonomy (Occupational Therapy), plan activities for the establishment of social skills in boys and girls and educational support program activities that improve their chances and some of its basic procurement.
Hours of individual and occupational therapy activities and adaptation of activities will be from 9:30 to 13:30.
The workshop schedule will be Monday through Thursday from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 16:00 to 18:00 pm and Friday from 10:00 to 13:00.
All these services will be held at the Occupational Center, located at the Center for Integration and Social Participation of the Private La Canada.
The Department of Social Policy of the City of Mazarrón has launched this service through a direct grant of 40,000 euros from Murcia Institute of Social Action, under the Ministry of Social Policy of the Autonomous Region of Murcia.
