The mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, and Deputy Regional Government of Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, opened the Bay Sports Complex, located in the Doñana Park Street s / n.
The event, which also attended the Municipal Corporation of the City of Mazarron and the President of the Tennis Federation of the Region of Murcia, Antonio García Alarcón, has attracted hundreds of citizens.
After the opening ceremony, the students of the school sports have become big stars of the day as they have been in charge of making exhibits realizing what was learned in the sports schools in the municipality.
This new sports infrastructure, which consists of four tennis courts and a paddle court, provide citizens with an ideal area to practice tennis and paddle courts, two separate sports are among the favorite for Mazarron, as evidenced by the high number of students enrolled in sports schools tennis.
The proceedings, conducted in the sporting environment, have involved the demolition of the existing runways as well as the renovation of the building envelope, restoration of the costumes, the execution of five tracks, four for tennis and paddle tennis, design of the plot and setting of sports lighting.
These facilities have been erected on an area of 4,500 square meters, of which 164 square meters up to the surface of the locker room and classroom training.
The dominant feature of this infrastructure is the modernization of this global environment that today stands as one of the most functional and accessible throughout the Region of Murcia, as well as with the sports of the College Ginés García, opened as recently as two months.
Work on the 'Bay Sports Complex, "directed by the Department of Infrastructure and Planning of the City Council and funded by the Plan E, amounted to a sum of 700,000 euros.
