Preparations for Carnival 2010 (05/02/2010)

The mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, unveiled this morning the schedule of Carnival 2010 in a ceremony held at the Plenary Hall of the exhibition space and cultural 'town hall'.

In one week, people will go on street to show off their best costumes Carnival over four intense days of carnival events to be held in a tent located in the heart of historic Mazarrón such as the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

Carnaval 2010 programming, which are invited all citizens and visitors to the county, will start on Saturday, February 13 and runs until Tuesday, February 16.

About 1,500 people will participate in the Carnival Parade, which will be represented by a score of clubs, associations and groups in the municipality, combining elements like fantasy, magic, joy, fun and entertainment.

New this year is that some clubs will include carnival floats in the Carnival Parade which will provide greater grandeur to one of the most eagerly awaited by the Mazarron.

Carnival acts are intended to satisfy all audiences, from children, youth, older adults through a program in which children are the stars of daytime activities on Saturday and Monday.

During the meeting with the media, Francisco Blaya thanked the selfless work of the rocks in the organization of Carnival 2010, who together with the Department of Feasts are the key pieces for this program year after year progresses.

The Department of Party encourages all citizens to take to the streets to participate in events organized to celebrate Carnival 2010.

Departure from the Public School The Aceña with the following schedule: Calle La Vía Street and Constitution Avenue Alfonso X El Sabio to the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

The party will go with good music.

Monday, February 15

11:00 am

Children's Party, with workshops and activities.

16:30 h.

Grand Ball Mask with crook gift from the bars.

Award for the troupe of the night (minimum 6 persons) and individual costume award to be necessary to pre-register in the bars.
