The Department of Women's Hall of Mazarrón has opened the application period at the second edition of 'Short Story Competition - Women's Lives. "
In this event be open to all persons over 12 years, resident in Spain, no limit on the number of entries.
The aim of this event is to educate youth and other citizens about situations of inequality and discrimination faced by women in the workplace.
Issues such as sexual harassment, family and social barriers in access to male occupations, family difficulties of women in their career advancement and wage discrimination against women in the workplace will have a place in the stories.
Participants must submit their stories in DIN-A4 format, typed or computer made a font similar to Times 12 and double-spaced on one side with a minimum length of 2 pages and a maximum of 5, with two copies of the story.
The 'Competition Short Stories - Lives of Women,' has three different modes: one for students from 1 to 3 of secondary education, one for students 4-Secondary Education and High School and last for 18 years.
The first category winners will win a portable DVD player, the second category of a mini laptop and the third category a laptop.
The works may be submitted until Friday, March 12, the Register of the City.
