This morning, the Councillor of the Presidency, Alicia Jimenez, and the Director of the Universidad Popular, José María Ballestas, presented to the media CARLANTUM 2010, Study Session on Mazarrón.
This year the study days focus on mining Mazarrón, the most important source of wealth of the municipality until 1950 it ceased to exist.
Citizens will know in detail the importance of mine thanks to six papers to be delivered Rafael Arana, Jesus Bellon, Benjamin Rubio, Ignacio Nicolás, Juan Francisco Belmar and Pedro Egea, who will study in depth the Coto Minero de Mazarrón that arouses so much anticipation among residents of the municipality and the people who visit us.
The papers developed CARLANTUM 2010 at 21:30 pm from Monday, February 22, to Friday, March 5, in the auditorium of the Culture Department of the City of Mazarrón.
CARLANTUM takes this year's edition to combine the intergenerational interests and share experiences on the transition of mining from Mazarron.
The conference will be complemented by the exhibition 'Roads Lead' which will house the collection of old maps of Antonio Paredes through a sample which in turn will help to inform citizens how their ancestors lived on the splendor of mining .
The Department of Culture of the City of Mazarrón invites citizens to attend the inauguration of CARLANTUM 2010 and the exhibition 'Roads Lead' by Antonio Paredes, which will take place this Friday, February 19, at 22:00 in the auditorium of the Department of Culture.
