This morning the mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, presented the cultural program of Easter 2010 with the Councillor for Culture, Alicia Jiménez, and the presidents of the Councils of guilds of Mazarrón and Puerto, Ginés Campillo and Paco Osuna, respectively, and representatives of the brotherhoods.
The ceremony took place this morning in the hall of the cultural and exhibition space 'town hall'.
The special municipality of Mazarrón is home to two schedules of Holy Week with the intention of satisfying everyone.
This year the town hosts Easter to 25 religious and cultural events which will follow the customs and traditions.
The reading of the biblical picture 'words in the sand', the 'I Memorial Tribute to Nazareth', the photo exhibition to mark the "I National Photography Contest Religious Paco Garcia 'and the Lenten film and musical concerts by Juan Pinilla, Vicente Santiago, the Band 'Maestro Eugenio Calderon' and the choir 'Cantabile'.
The processions of the municipality will take place on Palm Sunday, Holy Wednesday, Maundy Thursday and Good Friday with the particularity that this year will be a procession Mazarrón child of the Palms.
The Department of Culture of the municipality of Mazarrón encourages all citizens to participate in cultural and religious events prepared with the intention and purpose of the Mazarron and Mazarron feel the religious fervor of the Holy Week.
