The mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, and the Minister of Presidency and Public Administration, María Pedro Reverte, have placed this morning the first stone of the building of the costumes for the new Sports City, located in the Media League.
This is a ground floor building is intended to serve both the short and long term interventions to all sports that take place in the new sports area.
The building will have two dressing rooms for teams and two dressing groups, the first square are 42.69 meters each and the latter are of 60.87 meters square each.
We also have a fitness room, locker rooms for referees with three separate units, physiotherapy room and nursing, public toilets, service area and warehouse.
The design of the building creates a cantilevered deck on the south side generating a common step.
The project also includes expansion of the locker room in a second annex building with which it shares the cover and includes a cafeteria.
This area of sport will have a swimming pool, sports courts, soccer field, multi-space for different sports, parks, etc.
These facilities, which will be implemented by the construction company HIDRACUR SA, will be erected on a floor area of 563.57 meters square.
The action amounts to EUR 469,546.82, the amount financed by the Autonomous Community of Murcia from the Plan of Works and Services of the Directorate General of Local Government, performance achieved by the municipality of Mazarrón, who also contributes a minority amount .
To Reverte, the new infrastructure will "improve services provided to citizens and attention it receives," recalling his time that "these grants meet one of the main objectives of the regional government to support municipalities in the provision of different services, taking into account the population growth and the crisis situation we live. "
The mayor has argued that "this is the beginning of a project that takes planning since 2003: start construction at the Sports City in a place equidistant between Mazarrón and Puerto leading, next to the widening of the road and Puerto Mazarrón a bike lanes and woodlands, the union of the two urban centers. "
Also, the Mayor also stressed that "this is the first common infrastructure for the citizens of Puerto Mazarron and a spacious, modern and functional for all kinds of sports practice."
