This morning the mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, and the Minister of Agriculture and Water, Antonio Cerdá, inaugurated the work on improving the drainage of stormwater management in the Bay, specifically in the Crystal Sea Street.
The works include "a cluster of pipes" to improve storm water drainage which will prevent flooding and leakage.
The work consisted in improving the drainage of groundwater and the collection of rainwater through a collector of 132 meters and two pipes of 900 mm in width.
These works have been completed with the refurbishment of the collection channel, a 470 meters long and two force mains and storm drain 100 and 400 meters respectively.
The novelty of these actions, taken in the Management of Bahia, is that the town already has its first meters of bike lanes, in particular, 550 between La Casona and the beach of the Island
The works, collected by the town of Mazarrón, has received an investment of 1.3 billion euros and were financed by equity capital of the Autonomous Region of Murcia.
