This weekend Mazarrón has hosted the 'Intercultural Encounter II, an initiative that citizens of the town have taken to strengthen ties.
The beginning of this cultural event has enjoyed the presence of the Director General of Immigration, Development Cooperation and Volunteerism, Leopoldo Navarro, and the Councillor for Social Policy, Yolanda Vivancos, who inaugurated the 'Second Meeting Intercultural. "
The first event, held at the cultural and exhibition 'Town Hall' has been a roundtable to discuss the role of immigrant women in the current situation.
The meeting has gained strength and momentum in the Town Hall Square where there have been numerous workshops in music, tattoos, balloon twisting and braiding, accompanied by tastings of different countries, children's castle and parades.
The Mazarron and Mazarron as it passes through the historic center of the town have enjoyed a wide range of programming that has stimulated the encounter between different cultures.
The Department of Social Policy welcomes the participation shown in the second edition of the Intercultural and already working on new activities that promote integration and harmony among the more than eighty nationalities that inhabit the area.
